Facility: Daviess County Detention Center

Location: Owensboro, KY

Hours and shift: 20 hours per week, alternating shifts from 6am-4:30pm and noon-10:30pm

JOB DESCRIPTION

Are you a professional Medication Aide (KMA) who desires to work in a unique and challenging environment? Do you have strong communication skills and the ability to work well with patients and department staff? Do you have experience in measuring and recording vital signs, changing dressings, maintaining medical records, and responding to emergency situations in a calm and professional manner?  If so, we invite you to apply as a member of our team.

The qualified candidate will provide medical services to the detainee population in a correctional medical environment.  You’ll work as part of a team, along with healthcare staff and corrections staff, where communication and cooperation are key to success.

REQUIREMENTS

 

Graduation from an accredited program

Must be registered with the KBN as an SRNA and KMA
Successfully passed a national certification exam  

Current CPR certification

This position requires a background check
Professional references must be provided
