POSITION: Compliance and Accreditation Specialist

LOCATION: CORPORATE OFFICE - Franklin, TN

HOURS: 40 HOURS PER WEEK


Advanced Correctional Healthcare, Inc., the industry leader in providing quality medical care, mental health care and business services to correctional facilities, has an excellent opportunity for a Compliance and Accreditation Specialist located in the Franklin, TN area.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  •  Develop and implement strategies to meet accreditation standards and activities applicable to all jails in accordance with the National Commission on Correctional Health Care (NCCHC), American Correctional Association (ACA), Immigration Custom Enforcement (ICE), federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Coordinate training on accreditation issues and compliance with applicable departments.
  • Oversee the direct accreditations and other related documents for the necessary approvals for start-up activities, annual renewals, new compliance programs, and reaffirmations.
  • Review and edit appropriate documents in accordance with NCCHC, ACA, ICE, federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Oversees the remote audit program to include tool development, review process and reporting.
  • Assist with the development of short- and long-term strategies and a corresponding execution plan.
  • Lead efforts to manage current programs and develop new programs as needed to ensure sites are successful in their accreditations.
  • Interfaces with various subject matter experts to develop tools for accreditation and compliance.
  • Any and all other duties as assigned. 

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE 

·       Bachelor’s degree

·       5+ years’ experience in accreditation and compliance activities

·       Experience and familiarity with national accreditation, programmatic accreditation, and state licensure

·       5+ years of managerial experience as a Health Services Administrator or Director of Nursing
