POSITION: Regulatory Coordinator 



Advanced Correctional Healthcare, Inc., the industry leader in providing quality medical care, mental health care and business services to correctional facilities, has an excellent opportunity for a Regulatory Coordinator located in the Franklin, TN area.

  • Provides guidance on outside regulatory and legal requirements, as well as internal policies and bylaws 
  • Works collaboratively with leadership and staff to identify and manage regulatory risk 
  • Recommends appropriate process to avoid future recurrence in the event of a regulatory breach 
  • Maintains open lines of communication with all relevant decision makers and stakeholders to keep all parties informed of regulatory changes 
  • Organizes targeted training sessions to communicate key regulatory changes and updates 
  • Ensures standards are reflected throughout organizational policies to maintain government and regulatory body compliance 
  • Serves as CPR instructor and point of contact for other instructors within the organization 
  • Develops organizational policies, standards, and procedures to comply with applicable regulations 
  • Ensures that internal controls are put in place to adequately measure and manage the risks it faces 
  • Develops reporting mechanisms to track quality data, identify opportunities for improvement, and consult on appropriate workflow changes to improve outcomes 
  • Provides foundational expertise, education, and information to support a culture of safety 
  • Develops and maintains regulatory knowledge aligned with government standards and regulations to include but not limited to HIPAA, NCCHC, ACA, ICE, each states DOC, and US Marshall Service 100 guide, and Wisconsin Department of Corrections 350 Regulations 
  • Develops, maintains, and revises documents for client use including, but not limited to policies and procedures and Illness Reports to support general operations 
  • Collaborates as needed to direct compliance issues to the appropriate existing channels for investigations and resolution 
  • Acts as an independent review and evaluation body to ensure that compliance issues and concerns within the organization are being appropriately evaluated, investigated, and resolved 
  • Collects, analyzes, and evaluates data and produces reports as appropriate 
  • Advises on proper reporting of violations or potential violations to duly authorized enforcement agencies as appropriate or required 
  • Conducts reviews of LMS trainings as indicated by the internal document review process (DRP) 
  • Provides feedback related to needed training based on data-driven identified problems or areas for improvement 
  • Develops and maintains universal policies and procedures that cover all standards to include but not limited to HIPAA, NCCHC, ACA, ICE, each states DOC, and US Marshall Service 100 guide, Wisconsin Department of Corrections 350 Regulations 



  • 3+ years of compliance experience or related education 
  • Strong Microsoft Office, Internet, SharePoint, and email skills 
  • Excellent attention to detail  
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written 
  • Ability to work both independently and as a part of a team 
  • Highly organized 
  • Trustworthy, confident, and responsible when handling or presenting sensitive information 
  • CCHP Certification (essential after two years of service) 
  • Must be able to drive a motor vehicle 
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; hands-on training 


  • Registered Nurse in the state of Tennessee  
  • Master’s degree  
  • Professional certification in healthcare compliance desired
