POSITION: EMR (Electronic Medical Records Trainer)

LOCATION: Remote/Travel Based Position 

HOURS: 40 HOURS PER WEEK

Advanced Correctional Healthcare, Inc., the industry leader in providing quality medical care, mental health care and business services to correctional facilities, has an excellent opportunity for an Remote EMR Trainer. This is a remote position that will include travel to our facilities for training.

Develops and conducts effective orientation and training programs on the EMR and creates business practices to ensure consistent performance within plan, regulatory and accreditation standards.

Collaborates with management and staff to identify and assess learning needs impacting operational effectiveness.

Assists with the timely development and revision of training materials, manuals, and evaluation materials. Maintains detailed records of training programs and participants and generates accurate statistical reports.

Conducts classroom training sessions, in-services, group, and individual instruction independently

Prepares a training environment and all training materials for each class.

Participates in the system testing process for new functionality or system upgrades

Demonstrates consistent, reliable, credible, respectful, and timely customer service to all end-users.

Provides on-going support, including off-hours training when needed (occasional evening/weekend) training.

Key Factors

o General understanding of health care modalities, therapies, terminology, and equipment.

o Knowledge of internal quality controls in compliance with department policies and procedures.

o Ability to understand the customers' point of view and take ownership of creating a solution to their issues.

o Must be able to communicate thoughts clearly, both verbally and in writing.

o Ability to effectively use a variety of teaching methods.

o Interpersonal skills to interact with a wide range of constituencies.

o Must have critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

o Ability to balance multiple demands and respond to time constraints.

o General computer skills, including but not limited to: Microsoft Office, information security, electronic medical documentation, and email.

o Extensive travel is required

o Knowledge of EMR System
